ISM Purchasing Managers’ Index
What is the ISM Purchasing Managers’ Index?
The ISM Purchasing Managers’ Index results from a survey among 300 companies from 20 industrial sectors in the USA, spread across the entire country. The survey is to provide information about economic developments in the coming months. Factors like incoming orders, employment, production, delivery times, inventories, imports, and prices are considered for it. The value of 50 is considered neutral. Values above 50 indicate economic growth, while values below 50 reflect a decline in industrial production.
